Procrastination Knitting
I have seen the signs and it seems that I may be knitting to avoid my other crafty pursuits. I have several projects waiting to be started and finished, including some new supplies that I just bought yesterday. These are projects that I really want to do, but yet I am putting them off to knit.
What I have accomplished is this: two hats and matching booties for a relatives new baby,a smaller hat to go will the little button loafers,
and I am half way finished with a manly yet luxurious (silk and bamboo yarn) scarf for my father in law as a belated holiday gift.
I’m going to assume that my sinus cold/infection is causing me to be a bit lazy with my crafting, at least I am knitting while I veg out and watch TV! I’m sure once I finish up that scarf I’ll be back working on my other projects, I’m feeling better already.
In other news it’s been a great week so far, I’ve sold my first instant cemetery of the year and my home made watercolor tutorial made the Best of Craftster 2009, I imagine it will only get better!

Busy Busy
You may be wondering what happened to me last week, it seems as if I almost disappeared, but I assure you, I am still here. Last week was super exiting for me, my instant cemetery was featured in the Storque (etsy’s blog) and as the main picture of the article!
There was a wonderful flood of sales and convos and it has been very exciting. I have been busy cutting out tombstones and deco-podging cans and going to the post office.
I am almost caught up, I’m just waiting for more supplies, they’ll be here tomorrow along with some new fun stuff to try.
I have fabric prewashing now and I am hoping to craft up some household stuff this week and I am also expecting a new crafting book to review and oodles of other things, so I’ll see you later this week!

Always Exciting
I still get super excited to be on the front page of etsy, its only happened a few times and last night after or LNKHandmade crafty meeting I came home to a huge jump in views and hearts. I dashed over to craftcult and find this:
The front page and the Halloween gift guide!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited, front page exposure is better than almost any advertising that you can buy and it’s free! I’m off to cut out some more cemeteries and maybe list a few new Halloween items.

Instant Cemetery Can Design
Today I worked on the master copy for my instant cemetery can wrappers. Last year I just mod podged mini tombstones onto a paint can that I painted black, this year I want something fancier. I got my watercolors and went to work creating a molted background and while I was at it I made a new label for the lid too, ransom note style.I’ll have to tweak them a little when I print them, but I really like how they came out. I’ll also be including a paint can key this year, to make opening the can easier, I really pound those lids on ;-)!
My other achievement was installing a new shower head, the old one was like having someone spit on you, terrible pressure, the new one is a water saver and it really amps up the pressure, I can’t wait to take a shower!

Happy Friday the 13th!
I know this picture is tiny, but I'm there in the forth row, center. I am glad I decided to relist my cemetery, I think the pictures really make it look spooky, I wish all of my photos looked this good.
